Restarted steam thinking it could be a sync issue and upon start up X4 was already trying to sync again for another 5-10 minutes before it failed. Tried to launch again same issue of the game running via steam and task manager but no actual game window and another Sync fail after closing. I exited the game via the close button on steam and it took around 5 minutes for steam sync to fail. Updated X4 and sat as running for a few minutes but game window didn't load. Into a 30 hour save into the online Ventures now so game has been running great no crashes or issues until the HF2 patch was downloaded this morning at 7am. If someone else is having Sync issues like I am(I've been playing X4 on 5.1 and it still wont sync) I encourage you to mail support as well. Support still has not responded to me so I think that is the end of any help in that regard.

I do have a new SSD coming in for windows 10 in 2 weeks(I need legacy windows 7 still for my work) so I'll update for that as well.Īlso on the note of steam. It just so happens that was also the same day that X4 HF2 was launched so possible relation not sure.
Was no mention of X4 in the few pages I read but it was interesting to see quite a few other games having issues as well. In the comments on that post there is the occasional person commenting that the recent update with that announcement had broke some of their games compatibility. Steams recent update has announced their end of service for windows 7 (If you look at my screenshots linked you can see it in red at the top left corner of the steam window). I too am on windows 7 and I am wondering if it still is a mix of steam and X4. I wonder if Windows 7 compatibility has accidently been broken.
